I was helping observe and tidy some biotopes in Shibuya yesterday and found this tiny fish. Even the tiniest little living things can be so strikingly beautiful, i was very moved by it.

(Sorry for the lack of art, i have been working very hard on client work and sadly haven't had much energy for my own work. <3 )

Nori (2024)

This is a longhaired calico cat named Nori. Her portrait was done with Derwent pastel pencils on 30x40 cm (12x15.5 in) pastelmat. The original color of the pastelmat was buttercup (a light yellowish color) and I completely covered it with pastel because the background was too light for the cat to stand out. I love working with pastel pencils!

"Bilberry Girl"

Portrait of my kitty Jagoda, drawn to celebrate the first anniversary of her becoming my cat.

She's holding a bilberry shoot in her mouth, because bilberry is commonly refered to as "jagoda" in Polish. I actually chose this name in reference to her black fur.

Here's to many more years together!
